Common Name The Tungurahua Scelochilus [A volcano in central west Ecuador]
Flower Size .2" [5mm]
Found in Ecuador in wet montane forests at elevations around 1300 to 2700 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte and blooms in the spring on an axillary, several flowered inflorescence
USE CAUTION The first photo is from Native Ecuadorian Orchids and is the only real reference that I have, as it is published by Dodson and he originally described the species, I have to assume that he knows what the species is so use it first, the other 2 photos do not jive at all.
Synonyms Comparettia tungurahuae [Dodson] Chase & NH Wms. 2008
