Common Name The Small Bulbed Schizochilus

Found in Lesotho and Natal South Africa in shallow soils over rock at elevations of 1500 to 2500 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with 10 to 30, the lower 4 to 20 clustered basally, grading to bracts above, linear, acute leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, peduncle elongate, rachis short, densely many flowered inflorescence with the flowers held in a cluster towards the apex.
