Found in west southwestern Cape Province on sand along streams at elevations of sea level to 1000 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with cauline, basally claspingleaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, 6 to 14" [15 to 35 cm] long, 1 to 3 [5] flowered inflorescence
