Found in southwestern India in the upper Ghats at elevations of 900 to 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool epiphyte with a short, unbranched stem enveloped by imbricate leaf sheaths carrying several, coriaceous, oblong, equally to unequally and obtusely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the summer and early fall on an axillary, erect, branched, [7 to 14 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence.
