Common Name Vierling's Schunkea [German Orchid Enthusiast current]

Found only in Espirito Santo state of Brazil in montane rainforests at elevations of 500 to 1000 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with cylindrical, longitudinally sulcate and tapering pseudobulbs enveloped basally by a sheath and carrying a single, apical, lanceolate, subcoriaceous, acute, conduplicate leaf that blooms in the spring on an axillary from the basal sheath, short, pendant, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence that is much shorter than the leaf..
