Found in southern China on tree trunks in wooded slopes at elevations of 300 to 1100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying several, oblong to obovate-lanceolate, slightly obtuse-bilobed apically, amplexicaul and clasping base leaves that blooms in the early spring and summer on an arching, racemose, to 3.6 to 4" [9 to 10 cm] long, laxly several flowered inflorescence carrying slightly fleshy, scented flowers
