Found in Gabon, Gambia, Ivory Coast, Liberia and Zaire in rainforests at elevations to 800 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying several distichous, linear, conduplicate leaves held in a fan-shape that blooms on an axillary, arching or spreading, 6 to 20" [15 to 50 cm] long, to 20 flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.
