Common Name The Broad Sepal Stelis [refers to the sepal margin]

Found in Colombia and Bolivar state of Venezuela in dense elfin forests and in dwarf rainforests at elevations around 1500 to 2200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing, caespitose epiphtye with a very short ramicaul carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, ovate to narrowly ovate, rounded to obtuse, gradually narrowed below into the base leaf that blooms on an ascending to erect, from below the apex of the ramicaul, pale green, 3.2" [8 cm] long including the filiform, peduncle, mostly simultaneously several flowered inflorescence with small, thin, translucent cream, shorter than the pedicellate ovary floral bracts and carrying dark brownish red flowers.
