Found Colombia to Ecuador at elevations around 1400 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with oblong, compressed pseudobulbs partially enveloped basally by several distichous, overlapping bracts, and carrying a single, apical, linear-lanceolate, acute leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on a 9" [22 cm] long, paniculate inflorescence carrying several successive flowers arising on a newly matured pseudobulb.
