Found in northwestern Ecuador at elevations of 720 to 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with cylindrical, slightly swollen pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, narrowly elliptic, sub acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter, spring and summer on a terminal, erect, 3" [7.5 cm] long, well spaced, few flowered inflorescence with 2 to 3 acuminate bracts.
