Found in Ecuador as a miniature sized epiphyte with narrowly elliptical , strongly compressed pseudobulbs that are partially enveloped basally by a conduplicate sheath on each side and carrying a single, narrowly lanceolate, acute, thin, leathery leaf that blooms on an axillary, 8" [20 cm] long, arching to spreading, many flowered inflorescence
