Found in Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with an erect stem enveloped by linear-lanceolate, acute, close sheaths that blooms on an erect, terminal, densely many flowered inflorescence with linear, longer than the flower floral bracts.
