Common Name The Beautiful Delicate Colored Flower Sobralia

Found in Pasco department of Peru on steep hillsides with brush and grasses at elevations around 2000 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrrestrial with an erect, leafy stem carrying plicate, elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate leaves taht blooms in the fall on a sessile, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with solitary flowers with white sepals with a broad greenish white margin on the outer surface, white petals a white lip with the margins of the lateral lobes pale brownish rose, the throat pale pink, the midlobe and lateral lobes covered with yellow teeth and veins, a creamy white callus with the margins of the mid-lobes white, a white column and a cream to pale yellow anther.

Similar to S fimbriata but this species has smaller flowers, entire petals and a pale pink throat.
