Common Name The Very Curled Sobralia [refers to the wavy margins of the lip]
Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]
Found in Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama at elevations around 1200 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing epiphyte, terrestrial or lithophyte with stems enveloped by straite sheaths and carrying 5 to 6, ovate, slightly attenuate, acute leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on a terminal, single flowered inflorescence
Similar to S lindleyana but differs in the smaller leaves and larger flowers and has a longer tube of the lip
