Common Name D'Orbigny's Sobralia

Flower Size 2 3/4" [7 cm]

Found in Bolivia and Peru at elevations around 1200 to 3100 meters as a medium to large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with caespitose, leafless below leafbearing above stems completely enveloped by tightly adpressed, imbricating sheaths and carrying lanceolate, suberectly spreading, plicate, long-acuminate, cuneate below into the base leaves that blooms on lateral from the leaf axils, few branched, loosely few flowered inflorescence with short-lived, successive, fragrant flowers.
