Found in Venezuela in open rocky to swampy locations often on tepui summits at elevations of [500] 1200 to 1900 [2286] meters as a medium to large sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with clustered, erect, thick stem carrying several linear-lanceolate, plicate, acute leaves held in the apical half and blooms on a terminal, short, single flowered inflorescence arising through a conduplicate spathe
