Found from Costa Rica to Panama in forest remnants at elevations around 850 to 1150 meters as a large sized, warm to cool growing epiphtye with erect, stems carrying narrowly ovate, acuminate, ,inutely scurfy leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a terminal, 2.6" [6.5 cm] long, elliptic bract cluster, successively single, fwe flwoered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers
