Common Name The Nodding Sobralia [refers to the flowers]

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in Panama at elevations around 1000 to 1100 meters as a large to giant sized, warm growing terrestrial with slightly compressed stems carrying several, strongly plicate, elliptic, acute to long-acuminate leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, gradually elongating, successively 1 to 3 at a time, several to many flowered inflorescence
