Common Name The Very Beautiful Sobralia
Flower Size 4" [10 cm]
Found in Colombia and Ecuador in montane forests at elevations of 100 to 1700 meters as a large sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial on steep embankments at elevations of 220 to 1500 meters with cane-like stems carrying plicate, elliptic-lanceolate, basally clasping, acute leaves that blooms at any time of the year on a flexuous, elongate inflorescence with bracts as long as the ovaries carrying very large, successively single flowers
