Common Name Roezl's Sobralia [German Orchid Collector in South America 1800's]
Flower Size 3" [7.5cm]
Found in Antioquia and Cauca departments of Colombia on roadside slopes and fern dominated scrub in moist valleys at elevations of 1200 to 2350 meters and as a giant sized, warm to cold growing terrestrial with erect, elongate stems enveloped by leaf-bearing sheaths carrying plicate, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, short, successively several flowered inflorescence.
