Found in Ecuador, Peru at elevations around 1900 to 2200 meters as a medium to just large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with elliptic, semiamplexicaule, acuminate, pale-green, glossy leaves that blooms on a terminal, sessile, single flowered inflorescence with a cupped flowerthat has the sepals fused at the base and forming a short tube.
