Found in Panama in the Valley de Anton at elevations around 1200 meters as a giant sized, cool growing natural hybrid between S leucoxantha and S decora with erect, thinnish canes carrying 6 to 10 plicate, broadly lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, lowermost deciduous leaves that blooms in the summer and early fall on terminal, short, successively single, several flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.
