Found in Cochabamba department of Bolivia in wet montane forests at elevations around 2600 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with basal, ovate, margins undulate margins, acute, abruptly narrowing below into the green, sulcate, 2" [5 cm] long-petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, terete, glabrous, peduncle 5" [12.5 cm] long, provided with 3 to 4, foliar sheathing bracts reducing in size towards the apex, rachis 3" [7.5 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with triangular, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate, clear green, fragrant flowers.
