Found in Bolivia in wet montane forests at elevations around 2600 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with basal, ovate, margins undulate, acute, narrowing abruptly below into the green, sulcate, long-petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, terete, glabrous, 3 to 4 foliar bracts reducing in size towards the apex, 5" [12.5 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence carrying non-resupinate, clear green, fragrant flowers
