Common Name The Alagoas Sophronitis [A state in eastern Brazil]

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Alagoas state of Brazil at elevations of 300 to 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte or lithophyte with obovate pseudobulbs enveloped in youth by 3 to 4, deciduous, imbricating sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, obovate, fleshy leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a terminal, short, racemose, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence.
