Found in New Guinea in lowland forests as a large sized, hot growing terrestrial with lanceolate-linear, gradually very long narrowing apically, plicate, 7 nerved, firmly papyraceous, narrwoing below into the channeled, ribbed, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late fall on an erect, peduncle densely wooly-pilose, 4.4" [11 cm] long, rachis 5 to 7.6" [12.5 to 19 cm] long, densely wooly-pilose, to 60 flowered inflorescence with patent to widely patent, not reflexed, persistent, sub-elliptic, concave, almost boat-shaped, puberulous floral bracts and carrying flowers without color data.
