Common Name Vanoverbergh's Spathoglottis [Belgian Plant collector Philippines 1800's]

Flower Size 1 1/2" [4 cm]

This is a Philippine deciduous leafed species from the isle of Luzon where it is found at elevations over 1000 meters and grows as a warm to cool growing terrestrial that blooms on an erect, basal, 13" [32 cm] long, shorter than the leaves, racemose inflorescence with several [4 to 6] flowers occuring in the late winter and spring after the leaves have fallen.
