Common Name Nauray's Stanhopea [Peruvian Orchid Botanist current]

Found in Puno Peru without locality with clustered, ovoid, strongly ribbed and furrowed with age pseudobulbs always carrying but a single, plicate, coarse, leathery, lanceoalte, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a basal, pendent, to 8" [20 cm] long, to 3 flowered inflorescence enveloped by large, spead out triangular, acute bracts and carrying fragrant flowers.

Similar to Stanhopea oculata but differs in that this one is 1/3 smaller and has the epichile and hypochile are similar in width, in S oculata which has the hypochile that is much narrower than the epichile.
