Found in Antioquia Colombia at elevations around 2200 meters on wet rocks in an unknown location as a medium sized, cold growing lithophyte with ovate, strongly ribbed and furrowed with age pseudobulbs carrying a singel, apical, erect, plicate, coarse, leathery, lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the channeled, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a basal, pendent, to 10" [to 25 cm] long, loosely 6 to 10 flowered inflorescence with large, spread, broadly triangular, acute floral bracts and carrying fragrant flowers
