Found in Tolima department of Colombia at elevations around 1600 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with pyriform, longitudinally sulcate pseudobulbs carrying subcoriaceous, elliptic, acute, gradually narrowing below into the canaliculate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, pendent, to 8.8" [22 cm] long, to 9 flwoered inflorescence partially enveloped by several, papery bracts carrying fragrant flowers.
