Found in Cartago province of Costa Rica on Mt carpenteria at elevations around 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect slender ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, oblanceolate, obtuse, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a decurved, 1.58” [3.7 cm] long including the .48” [1.2 cm] long setiform peduncle, laxly several flowered inflorescence.
