Found in Costa Rica in humid forests at elevations around 1075 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with erct, slender ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, oblanceolate-elliptic, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on 1 to 2, erect, 2.4” [6 cm] long including the peduncle, sublaxly many flowered inflorescence
