Common Name The Diffuse Stelis

Found in Huanuco Province of Peru at elevations around 1850 to 2000 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with crowded, suberect to flexuous stems mostly enveloped by 3, close tubular, evanescent sheaths and carrying a single, more or less erect, ellipitc to oblong-elliptic, obtuse to subacute, cuneate and chartaceous below into the long petiolate base leaf that blooms on 1 to 5, more or less diffuse, usually shorter than the leaf, to 4.8" [12 cm] long, rather loosely several to many flowered inflorescence with small, shallowly infundibuliform floral bracts and carrying very small, greenish white flowers with a reddish center.
