Common Name Duque's Stelis [Colombian Orchid Enthusiast current]

Flower Size

Found in Huila departemnt of Colombia at elevations around 1300 meters as a mini-miniature to just small sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, pale purple beneath, elliptical-oblong, obtuse, tridenticulate, narrowing below into the short petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on 1 to 3, erect, slightly flexuous, distichous, 2 to 3.2" [5 to 8 cm] long including the peduncle, mostly simultaenously few flowered inflorescence arising from an annulus below the apex of the ramicaul with acute floral bracts.
