Common Name The Fredonia Stelis [Community in Antioquia Colombia]

Flower Size

Found in Antioquia department of Colombia in cloud forest at elevations around 1500 to 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing, CAESPITOSE epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 3 fibrous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptic, more or less oblong, subobtuse, tridenticulate, abruptly narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on 1 to 3, arising through a long spathe, erect, slender, laxly, distichous, slightly fractiflex, 1.6 to 2.4" [4 to 6 cm] long including the .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long peduncle, mostly simultaneously several flowered inflorescence with acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts carrying obliquely arranged flowers with the sepals clear yellow green and the central apparatus rose to almost white all held on the back side of the leaf.
