Common Name The Mt Palmeira Stelis [A mountain in Rio de Janiero state of Brazil]

Found in Rio de Janiero state of Brazil in virgin forests on tree branches as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by two tubular sheath with the uppermost being much longer and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly oblong, obtuse, tridenticulate, narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, arising through a spathe, racemose, 2" [5 cm] long, secund, laxly many flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, clear yellow, glabrous flowers.
Related to S porpax but disitnguished by its small size, its trilobed, excavate lip and its susullate petals.
