Found in Costa Rica and Panama in wet and pluvial forests at elevations around 1000 to 1800 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with elliptic-obovate, obtuse, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, peduncle .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long, arising through a very small spathe, flexible, 2.4 to 3.2" [6 to 8 cm] long overall, densely many flowered inflorescence
