Found in Chiriqui province of Panama in wet montane forests at elevations of 1000 to 2600 meters as a small sized, warm to cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 loose, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic-oblong, coriaceous, subobtuse and tridenticulate apically, narrowing below into the attenuate, long-petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on an erect, arising through a small spathe,slender, to 4" [10 cm] long overall, rachis 2.4" [6 cm] long, subdistichous, laxly several flowered inflorescence with wide, infundibular, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying clear green, glabrous flowers.
