Common Name The Small Herb Stelis

Flower Size .16" [4 mm]

Found in Costa Rica and Panama at elevations around 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect, stout ramicauls enveloped by 3 sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, oblanceolate, apiculate, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, sublax, .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long including the short peduncle, simultaneously several flowered inflorescence with ovate-cucullate, acuminate, just shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, yellowish, glabrous flowers.
