Common Name The Kidney Shaped Petal Stelis

Found in Loreto department of Peru as a miniature sized, caespitose epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptic-ligulate, obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, thin, twice as long as the leaf, sublax, subsecund, to 3.6" [9 cm] long including the 1.6" [4 cm] long peduncle with ovate-cucullate, apiculate floral bracts and carrying glabrous, dark red flowers.
