Common Name The Las Nubes Stelis [refers to the plants environment in the clouds]

Flower Size

Found in Costa Rica at elevations of 1500 to 1900 meters as a small sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with slender ramicauls enveloped by 3 tubular shaeths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coricaeous,narrowly elliptical, subacute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, arising through a small spathe, peduncle 1.6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] long, rachis 1.8 to 2.4" [4.5 to 6 cm] long, subsecund, laxly , mostly simultaneosuly many flowered inflorescence with infundibular, small, about as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying greenish-yellow, glabrous flowers.
