Found in southern Venezuela in forests at elevations around 1400 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte erect, short, stout ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, oblanceolate to obovate, obtuse to rounded, tridenticulate, tapering below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a horizontal, arching to erect, congested, secund, 1.2 to 4.2" [3 to 10.5 cm] long including the .4 to 1.2" [1 to 3.5 cm] long peduncle, successively few, to many flowered inflorescence with cucullate, acute floral bracts.
