Common Name The Thick Densely Flowered Stelis

Found in Santander department of Bolivia at elevations around 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls with 2, fibrous, dilated, tubular, acute sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, broadly oblong, obtuse, tridenticulate, contracted below into the short petiolate base leaf that blooms on a single, erect, arising through a membraneous spathe, flowering to the base, 6.4 to 8" [16 to 20 cm] long, erect, congested, distichous, mostly simultaneously many flowered inflorescence with cucullate, almost as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying green, pubescent flowers.
