Common Name The Para Stelis [refers to the location of the species in Brazil]

Flower Size .16" to .2" [4 to 5 mm]

Found in Para State of northern Brazil in wet montane forests at elevations of 900 to 1500 meters as a warm to cool growing, epiphyte with erect, fasiculate, slightly flexuous, pale green ramicauls enveloped by 3, greyish sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, obovate, faintly conduplicate, leathery, narrowing below into the pseudo-petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on 1 to 2, arising through a spathe, erect, 6 to 12" [15 to 30 cm] long, mostly simultaneously 50 to 100 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying yellowish green flowers.
