Common Name The Pendulous Inflorescence Stelis

Found in Antioquia department of Colombia without locational data as a small sized epiphyte with pendent, slender ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 4 fibrous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly ellipitc, acute, cuneate below into the short petiolate base leaf that blooms on 1 to 2, pendent, loose, 3.2 to 4" [8 to 10 cm] long including the very short peduncle, mostly simultaneously several flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe below the apex of the ramicaul with infundibular, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying dark red, minutely pubescent flowers.

Simlar to S pendularis by being totally pendent, plant and inflorescence. In the other just the inflorescence is pendent.
