Found in northwestern Venezuela in cloud forests at elevations around 1800 to 2400 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by a 2 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly oblanceolate, subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, arising through a small, tubular spathe at the base of the leaf,slightly fractiflex, to 4.2" [to 10.5 cm] long including the .8 to 2" [2 to 5 cm] long peduncle, mostly simultaneously many flowered inflorecence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying greenish flowers.
