Common Name The Small Shoe Shaped Lip Stenia

Found in Peru and Ecuador in very wet montane cloud forests at 1200 to 2200 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphytic, fan-shaped orchid with a very short, clustered leafy stem carrying distichous, thin, oblanceolate to obovate, acute or acuminate, grey-green leaves and blooms in the winter and spring on a arcuate to suberect, axillary, slender inflorescence with a single flower and hyaline, ovate-cucllate floral bracts.
