Found in Peru in cloud forests at elevations around 750 to 2000 meters as a large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a stout glabrous below, densely tomentose above stem with 4, crowded, near the baseovat to elliptic-oblong, basally to oblong-lanceolate above,abruptly acute to shortly acuminate, narrowing below into a sheathing base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, 29.6" [74 cm] long, rachis elongate-cylindric, 10.8" [27cm] long, subdense many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, long acuminate, densely tomentulose, slightly shorter than the flower floral bracts.
