Found in Veracruz and Chiapas states of Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Panama and Costa Rica generally as as an epiphyte but occasionally a terrestrial with in a basal rosette, fleshy, leaves that blooms in the late spring through summer on an erect, to 10" [25 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence.
