This caespitose, acaulous, Peruvian, miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte is found in wet montane forests at an elevation of 1600 meters with fan shaped growths and 2 to 3 elliptic-ovate, acute, conduplicate, increasing in size form base and is articulated to the imbricating sheathing leaf bases and blooms on an axillary, 1 1/4" [3 cm] long, horizontal inflorescence with ovate-tubular, acute floral bracts and occuring in the fall and again in early spring.
