Found in Costa Rica and Panama in cloud forests at elevations of 850 to 4100 meters as a medium sized, warm to cold growing terrestrial with an erect to ascending stem carrying basal, membraneous, narrowly to broadly ovate, acuminate, often oblique, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, to 4" [10 cm] long, few to many flowered inflorescence
